CWM V BRIDGEND ATHLETIC

CWM V BRIDGEND ATHLETIC—23 January 2010

The Athletic claimed their first ever victory at the Bryn with a bonus point win which probably secures them Division One rugby next term and puts the home side in further trouble at the foot of the table. The match itself was over as a contest by the interval with the away side scoring 4 tries via Rob Coles (2), Simon Mustoe and Sean

Williams. Three of these were converted by long serving full back Stuart Morris which made the half time score—26 - 3.

Despite pressure in the second half all Cwm could muster was a converted try from Jim Morgan and when the Athletic’s fly half, Steve Lewis, intercepted and ran the length of the field for a converted try at the end it sealed a famous victory for the Bridgend side.

FINAL SCORE: Cwmllynfell 10 Bridgend Athletic 33
